The Chicago Blackhawks will play their second game since completing the massive Seth Jones trade on Saturday, with their first home tilt in the new era on Monday evening. With the Los Angeles Kings coming to town, the team needed to add depth on their blue line. Per the organization , the Blackhawks have recalled defenseman Louis Crevier from the Rockford IceHogs. In addition, forward Philipp Kurashev has been placed on injured reserve with a hand injury.

Crevier has suited up in 23 games this season, routinely shuttling between Rockford, the Blackhawks, and the United Center press box. However, the young defenseman has tallied four points (three goals, one assist) and taken steps forward in his development. In 15 AHL games this season, Crevier ironically has four points (one goal, three assists).

For Kurashev, this season has been a forgetful one after a 50-point campaign a season ago. In 42 games, Kurashev has recorded just 10 points (six goals, four assists) and when he has cracked the lineup, he's habitually been in the bottom six. With his hand injury, retroactive to Feb. 27, Kurashev will miss at least the next few games in Chicago before potentially returning to the lineup.

The Blackhawks host the Kings at the United Center on Monday evening. The 7:30 p.m. CT puck drop will broadcast on CHSN locally.
