The Chicago Blackhawks announced on Friday that they have signed forward prospect Jiri Felcman to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The deal, which will begin next season and run through the 2028-29 campaign, will carry a salary cap hit of $996,667 at the NHL level.

Felcman, who Chicago selected with the No. 93 overall pick in the third round of the 2023 NHL Draft, stands at six-foot-four and weighs in at 198 pounds.

“Felcman is a big-bodied, net-front guy who can kill penalties,” Daily Faceoff‘s prospect analyst Steven Ellis said. “He has never been much of a point producer, but he’s difficult to play against. He’s a solid skater, and I like him as a playmaker. I could see him becoming a bottom-six forward who is reliable defensively.”

The 20-year-old spent this season with the SCL Tigers of the Swiss National League, where he tallied 3 goals and 17 assists for 20 points in 52 games played.

In 2023-24 and 2024-25, Felcman suited up for Team Czechia at the U20 World Junior Championships, where he put up a combined 4 points in 15 games. The Czechs earned the bronze medal on the latter occasion.

Prior to the start of the season, Ellis ranked the Blackhawks’ prospect pool as the third-best in the NHL.

That pool is only going to get deeper this summer, as general manager Kyle Davidson is poised to make two picks in the first round and three in the second round of the upcoming NHL Draft.

Chicago has been hard at work at getting its young players inked to entry-level deals. Notably, Anton Frondell officially joined the organization earlier this month, and he is already making his presence felt at the NHL level. The Blackhawks inked Sacha Boisvert to his entry-level deal earlier in the month as well.
