Chicago Blackhawks prospect Artyom Levshunov finally lit the lamp Friday in the AHL. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft notched a third-period goal, the first of his professional career, in the Rockford IceHogs' 4-2 loss to the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Levshunov had a delayed start to the season due to a right foot injury. The 19-year-old joined the IceHogs after recovering and has played in five AHL games, tallying two points (one goal, one assist) in five games.
Elsewhere on the farm, Frank Nazar continued his strong start to the season by scoring a nifty shorthanded goal to get the IceHogs on the board Friday.

Nazar now has eight points (four goals, four assists) in as many games to lead the Blackhawks' AHL affiliate.
The 2022 first-round pick burst onto the scene last season by scoring on his first shot in the first contest of a three-game NHL stint to end the campaign. Nazar's continued seasoning in Rockford should bolster the finer points of his game when he eventually gets the call back to Chicago.
The IceHogs are back in action Saturday when they host the Iowa Wild. As the Blackhawks' struggles continue, it's worth keeping an eye on top prospects in the AHL as they'll play crucial roles in Chicago's future plans.
