The hockey community has reached out in a special way to support Quinn, with several members of the Columbus Blue Jackets donating large amounts of money, including Kirill Marchenko, Sean Monahan, and Boone Jenner.
The Ohio AAA Blue Jackets released the following message on their X account rally in support of Quinn, while also posting the Go Fund Me link where supporters can donate to the worthy cause.
All of our love, positive energy and support is with 12U Girls player Quinn Halstead and her family. Quinn has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and will undergo surgery tomorrow to remove it.We can't wait to have you back on the ice, Quinn! You got this!!!
Her former team, the Cleveland Lady Barons, released the following statement:
Our hearts and prayers are with former Lady Baron Quinn Halstead. Let's join other organizations in the Cleveland and Columbus area In putting "Sticks Out" in support of her and her battle with her diagnosed brain tumor. The hockey community is large and we are proud to be part of such a group that support each other.
We also send our support to Quinn and her family and wish her a speedy recovery and good health so that she can return to the ice as quickly as possible.
