Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney makes his feelings known and delivers yet another ruthless quote to his players

The Boston Bruins have started slowly this season, and after one controversial move, their GM is considering more drastic changes to this roster.

After an 8-9-3 start to the season that had so much expectation, the Boston Bruins have already made one drastic change, parting ways with head coach Jim Montgomery.

That may not be the only change happening however, as general manager Don Sweeney has now commented on the situation, hinting that the team are ready to make changes to the roster as well.

With slow starts from the likes of Elias Lindholm and Nikita Zadorov, the Bruins organization have plenty of big-time decisions to make in the near future. If their plan is to turn things around and remain a Stanley Cup threat, those moves may need to happen quickly.

There's been no indication thus far as to who Sweeney was talking about, but with the team ranking 30th in the league in goals scored and 26th in goals allowed, there's plenty of room for change.

With the Stanley Cup Playoff race still in sight with months left to go on the season, there's definitely time to turn things around, but if the team can't get it together, it makes sense for Boston to sell off some veterans.

The most intriguing name of all is pending free agent and captain Brad Marchand, as he has surprisingly not signed a deal to remain in Boston yet. If the team want to change directions moving forward, he could be a trade candidate.

Ultimately, this is a team that wasn't expected to struggle this season, and with so much talent they certainly shouldn't be, but if things don't change soon, expect more shockers in Bean Town.
