Boston Bruins 2021 draft pick Oskar Jellvik has completed his senior year at Boston College and is eligible to sign with the Bruins before the August 15 deadline. However, rumors are persisting that the forward is contemplating signing with Rogle BK in the Swedish League. Elite Prospects and Robert Chalmers have suggested that the 23-year-old will be going home to play professionally in Sweden, forgoing his opportunity to sign with the Bruins organization.
The Taby, Sweden native completed an injury-riddled career at Boston College by playing just nine games during the 2025-26 season. Jellvik played 107 games with BC and totaled 23 goals and 52 assists. The fifth-round selection showed promise his sophomore season with 42 points in 41 games and represented well at Bruins development camp. But injuries curtailed his career, and the Bruins have since hesitated to sign the 5-foot-11, 185-pound winger.
Jellvik is part of a 2021 draft that has not produced an NHL roster player for Boston. First round pick Fabian Lysell is finishing his fourth American Hockey League season and is a restricted free agent at the end of the season. Third rounder Brett Harrison was traded to Philadelphia during this year’s trade deadline. Goaltender Philip Svedeback has completed his eligibility at Providence College but is not expected to sign with Boston. Defenseman Ryan Mast has been traded out of the organization, and another defenseman, Ty Gallagher, is with Providence in the AHL. Seventh-round pick Andre Gasseau will not sign his entry-level contract either.
