Boston Bruins Sign Riley Duran to Two-Way Deal

The Bruins are bringing back forward Riley Duran on a one-year, two-way contract. It has an $850,000 NHL cap hit and a $90,000 AHL cap hit, with $100,000 guaranteed. Duran, in 72 games last season with Providence, had 19 points on seven goals and 12 assists. He was a +19 with a shorthanded goal and a two-game winning goal. In four playoff games, he was held pointless and was even in plus/minus.

Duran spent three seasons at Providence College in Hockey East in the NCAA. He appeared in 102 games, recording 55 points on 27 goals and 28 assists. He was a +14 with six power-play goals and four game-winning goals. Duran played in the World Juniors for Team USA in 2021-22; in five games, he had five points on two goals and three assists; he was a plus-five. The Bruins drafted him 182nd overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. He’s appeared in two games for the Bruins but was held pointless and was a minus-one. In 143 games for Providence over three seasons, he has 39 points on 21 goals and 18 assists. He’s a +23 with a power-play goal, two shorthanded goals, and five game-winning goals. In 16 playoff games, he has two assists and is even in plus/minus.
