The Florida Panthers will enter play in Game 3 with a 1–1 series split in the first two games of the Stanley Cup Final following their 5–4 double-overtime win in Game 2, powered by Brad Marchand’s breakaway winner.
Marchand's second goal of the night capped a comeback effort that included a shorthanded goal in the second period and a late push after the Edmonton Oilers tied the game with 17.8 seconds left.
It wasn’t just the Panthers' bench erupting after Marchand’s 2OT winner, however, as cameras caught an emotional reaction in the stands from Marchand’s mother, Lynn, whose joy went viral after the NHL and Panthers posted footage online.
Her face turned bright red as she screamed in celebration, drawing attention.
"She's one you need to put a muzzle on. She gets pretty amped up at the games."

When asked postgame what kind of hockey mom Lynn Marchand is, the Panthers forward didn’t hesitate.
"She’s one that you need to put a muzzle on," Marchand said, drawing Sam Bennett's laugh as he sat next to him. "She gets pretty amped up at the games.
"(My parents) have always been so supportive, like all our parents. I don't think there's a player in this league that could say their parents are not the main reason that they're here, the sacrifices they made."
Marchand’s goal came 8:05 into the second overtime, giving him 10 career goals in the Stanley Cup Final — the most among active players.
Marchand was happy about having the chance to play in front of his family and parents in Game 2, as they both attended the contest in Edmonton.
"These are memories you have for the rest of your life," Marchand said. "Not just for yourself but for your family."
The Panthers will host Game 3 at Amerant Bank Arena on Monday night, looking to take control of the series.
