As you know, several American players, including Matthew Tkachuk, spoke loudly and taunted Canada publicly before last night's final.
There was the following statement, which generated a lot of reactions.
'Maybe their team doesn't like each other then if they don't have group chats..Our team doesn't care about anything that they say.'
- Matthew Tkachuk fired back at Brandon Hagel's for his comments about team USA's group chat.
Tkachuk was responding to a statement from Brandon Hagel, who noted that the Canadian players weren't discussing plans to drop the gloves in a group chat, unlike Team USA, who did before last Saturday's game.
And after Canada's win, Hagel got his revenge in the best possible way and officially created a groupchat with all the Canadian players, a group chat titled 'The Champions.'
Boom!
That's a nice little jab to put the feisty Tkachuk in his place.
See the photo shared by Hagel:
I love it!
I think this shows that the Canadian players spoke with their performance last night (and obviously after the win), unlike some Americans, who spent much of their energy putting on a public spectacle.
In the end, Team Canada came out with the big victory.
Hagel wasn't the only one who had a little message for Matthew Tkachuk, Brad Marchand also took a jab at Tkachuk live on TV after Canada's win.
How beautiful to see!
