The Boston Bruins have been rolling and may keep Hampus Lindholm out of the lineup once he is back from his injury because of that.
The Boston Bruins, since Joe Sacco has taken over as head coach, have been rolling as a group, and have finally found some pairs that have clicked nicely together. And unfortunately for Lindholm, he may be without a spot once he is back.
When Lindholm was playing with the Bruins before going down with his injury, he was the team's best defenseman, and many argued he was the Bruins' best player as they were playing horrible as a team.
Lindholm's best career season came with the Bruins during his first season in Boston during the 2022-23 season when he had 10 goals, 53 points in 80 games and was a plus-49.
If Lindholm did not get injured, he would be on track to come close to those numbers and would have definitely surpassed last season's points as he had 26 in 73 games.
After being injured, Charlie McAvoy has been paired with Jordan Oesterle and they have been a solid pairing, along with Zadorov and Carlo, and Lohrei and Peeke.
One part Lindholm could improve on if he is inserted in the lineup when he returns from injury is the power play, as they have been struggling.
The Bruins are now 7-2-0 under Joe Sacco and it will be interesting to see if he does break up his defensive pairings when Lindholm returns or if he will keep them how they are.
