According to a team announcement, the Boston Bruins have signed forward Riley Duran.

Duran is extended through the 2026-27 season on a two-way contract with an NHL cap hit of $850,000.

The 24-year-old skated in 72 games with the Providence Bruins, Boston’s AHL affiliate, during the 2025-26 season. He scored seven goals and 12 assists for a career-high 19 points, notably posting a plus-19 rating. The 6-foot-2, 198-pound forward has skated in 143 career AHL games, all with Providence on his entry-level contract, which was a two-year, 1.74MM ($867.5K AAV) deal; totaling 21 goals and 18 assists for 39 points.

He made his NHL debut with Boston on April 10, 2025, and has played in two career NHL games. The Woburn native was originally selected in the 182nd overall in the sixth round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. He played his college hockey at Providence, where he scored 55 points in 102 games, all with the Friars from 2021 to 2024. During that span, he also represented the United States at the World Junior Championships, scoring five points in five games in 2021-22.

Duran stays within the organization as they are conducting a roster revamp within their AHL ranks. Alongside Latvian standout Dans Locmelis, he’s the second returning Bruins-drafted forward within the P-Bruins group up front. Boston still requires a decision on their now lone RFA, Matthew Poitras, their 2nd-round pick from 2022.
