Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson didn’t need words to capture the moment.
Following Montreal’s 6-3 win over the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday, a victory that pushed the Canadiens into a playoff position, Anderson was asked how it felt to be in the postseason picture.
"As of now, you guys are in a playoff spot. How cool does that feel?" the on-ice reporter asked.
He didn’t respond. Instead, he stood still, letting the deafening cheers from the Bell Centre crowd fill the silence for nearly a full minute.
When he finally broke his silence, Anderson summed it up simply.
“It's pretty amazing," Anderson said. "Obviously, this is the best crowd you're going to get in the NHL. We're so lucky to play in front of you guys each and every night.
”We want to play in the playoffs, play in front of you guys.”

Montreal’s win was fueled by a five-goal third period, with Anderson scoring twice, including an empty-netter to seal the game.
Nick Suzuki provided the go-ahead goal on the power play, finishing a scramble in front of the net with just under five minutes left.
“We just kind of came in here after the second period, just tried to settle down,” Suzuki said. “I think we knew we hadn’t really brought our best hockey.”
The Canadiens (33-27-7 and 73 points) now hold the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference, one point ahead of the New York Rangers (72 points in two more games played).
Anderson summed up the feeling in the locker room and how the undisputable victory over the Senators was made possible.
“We were confident in our abilities to come back," Anderson said. "We just wanted to keep pressing, and that’s what we did.”
