As we mentioned in the last few minutes, Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher has reacted to the announcement of his mother's passing.
With all his courage, he stood in front of reporters and answered questions about it.
He answered all the questions.
And there's one moment in particular that really struck me.
Here are some excerpts:
Brendan Gallagher, who has not missed a game since his mother's passing, says hockey is his refuge, and he knows his mother would want to feel comforted right now:'When I'm on the ice, it's kind of like it goes away.. it's kind of what has helped me get through this.'
Brendan Gallagher on his emotions after scoring on Tuesday:
'It hit me right away, even though it was an empty-net goal; it was the first time the puck went into the net, and I wasn't going to be able to call [my mother] and talk to her about it, it was a bit emotional...'

But there's even more.
Wow, wow, and wow!
See the moment and the video:
Brendan Gallagher: 'The guys on the team, when we were in Vancouver, I talk about us as a tight-knit group, they all got together and took a bus to come to our family home there, which isn't a short drive, it's about 45 minutes, and they spent time with us unexpectedly...'Via Priyanta Emrith
Also, Brendan Gallagher revealed
his mom passed away while the team was in Calgary, what a warrior!
'it's been a tough week or so for the family but the way the team supported me and helped me out, I wouldn't have gotten through without them and obviously my wife'
This says a lot about what's happening within this team right now:
It's so touching! We extend our deepest condolences to Brendan Gallagher and his family.
