Canucks announce 2026-27 training camp roster

On Wednesday afternoon, General Manager Ryan Johnson announced the Vancouver Canucks’ full training camp roster.

The roster includes 57 total players: 33 forwards, 17 defencemen, and seven goaltenders. Here is the full roster:

Forwards: Vilmer Alriksson, Arshdeep Bains, Ben Berard, Lucian Bernat, Brock Boeser, Austin Brimmer, Yaroslav Bryzgalov, Gabriel Chiarot, Filip Chytil, Braeden Cootes, Paul Cotter, Jake DeBrusk, Trey Fix-Wolansky, Brendan Gallagher, Linus Karlsson, Jonathan Lekkerimäki, Mackenzie MacEachern, Ty Mueller, Adam Novotný, Drew O’Connor, Liam Öhgren, Riley Patterson, Elias Pettersson, Aatu Räty, Anri Ravinskis, Brooks Rogowski, Marco Rossi, Ilya Safonov, Max Sasson, Bennett Schimek, Matthew Steinburg, Akil Thomas, and Chase Wouters.

Defencemen: Joe Arntsen, Isaac Belliveau, Guillaume Brisebois, Zeev Buium, Cole Clayton, Filip Hronek, Kirill Kudryavtsev, Victor Mancini, Sawyer Mynio, Jamie Oleksiak, Elias Pettersson, Tim Rego, Luke Schenn, Jimmy Schuldt, Jack Thompson, Gavin White, and Tom Willander.

Goaltenders: Thatcher Demko, Chris Driedger, Aku Koskenvuo, Kevin Lankinen, Aleksei Medvedev, Nikita Tolopilo, and Ty Young.

The only player with an injury designation was Mackenzie MacEachern on the social post. However, at Wednesday’s media availability, Johnson said Thatcher Demko will not be a full participant, and Jack Thompson took a puck to the face in an on-ice session, prompting the Canucks to invite another player to training camp. While Johnson did not share the player’s name, he did mention that the player was on an AHL contract. Among the listed defencemen invited to training camp, Joe Arntsen, Isaac Belliveau, Tim Rego, and Gavin White are the blueliners on AHL deals.

Four of the Canucks’ nine selections in the 2026 NHL Draft will attend training camp: Lucian Bernat, Yaroslav Bryzgalov, Adam Novotný and Brooks Rogowski. Third-overall pick Caleb Malhotra and 41st-overall pick Niklas Aaram-Olsen will not attend camp, as they have already begun their school year at Boston University in the NCAA. Fifth-round pick Connor Davis is also missing camp as he returns to the University of North Dakota for his second year in the NCAA. Third-round goaltending selection Dmitri Ivchenko is playing for Omskie Yastreby of the MHL, while sixth-round selection Samuel Eriksson’s season has begun for Färjestad in the U20 Nationell.

Six offseason additions will also be in attendance for their first Canucks training camp: Paul Cotter, Trey Fix-Wolansky, Brendan Gallagher, Matthew Steinburg, Akil Thomas, and Jamie Oleksiak. Luke Schenn will also join the group; however, this will be his third Canucks training camp after having two previous stints with Vancouver.
