Carolina Hurricanes Hire Well-Known Edmonton Oilers Analyst as Professional Scout

Hockey analyst Dennis King has been hired as a Professional Scout for the Carolina Hurricanes. Dennis King was well-known by Oilers fans who used to follow along with his analysis of the Edmonton Oilers.

Zach Ellenthal will be joining Dennis King in the pro scouting department

Zach Ellenthal has also been hired to join the Hurricanes' pro scouting department, after spending the last four seasons with Rogle overseas in the Swedish Hockey League.

Daniel Bochner has been promoted to a full-time position as a Development Coach.

Daniel Bochner has been working part-time in a similar role while abroad living in Russia, but will now relocate to the United States to provide support for the team's players in both Raleigh for the NHL side of things, and Chicago for the American Hockey League.

Kevin Kan has been promoted to Lead Software Developer of Hockey Systems after previously serving as a Senior Developer.

Earl Schwartz, who joined the team in 2022-23 as Compliance Assistant, has received a promotion to CBA and Salary Cap Analyst.

Now in his 21st season with the Hurricanes, Jorge Alves has been promoted to the position of Head Equipment Manager.

Bob Gorman, who first joined the club in 1976, will continue to work for the team in a reduced capacity this season, as he plans to retire soon.

CJ Reif will join the team as an Equipment Assistant after spending last season with the AHL's Chicago Wolves.

After previously serving as head trainer for the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds, Koryd Lavimoniere joins the Hurricanes medical staff this season as the Assistant Athletic Trainer.

Koryd Lavimoniere also gained experience in the AHL with the San Antonio Rampage as well as in the ECHL with the Norfolk Admirals.
