Gerry Angus-Imagn Images

The Carolina Hurricanes today claimed goalie Cayden Primeau off waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Maple Leafs originally claimed Primeau off waivers from Carolina when the Hurricanes added Brandon Bussi off waivers. The Hurricanes signed Primeau to a one-year deal back on July 2nd. The reunion of Primeau is an interesting one. The Hurricanes currently have Frederick Anderson, Pyotr Kochetkov, and Brandon Bussi on the roster. It’ll be interesting to see how the Hurricanes handle that situation. Primeau, in three games for the Maple Leafs this season, went 2-1-0. He posted a 4.30 goals-against average and an .838 save percentage.
