Cartoon Canon: Jake's hatty beats the Blue Jackets!

RICHMOND, Va. -- Such a bummer to see Jake Guentzel traded away this week, for reasons both sentimental and practical. As the core has continued to age, I'd often taken comfort in thinking that when some future season opens with neither Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang nor (shudder) Sidney Crosby on the ice, at least Jake would be there to provide a smidgen of continuity, and a link to the glory days of 2016-17.

We'll miss ya, Jake... Best of luck in Raleigh!
