RICHMOND, Va. -- When I wrote this strip up, early last week, I couldn't get over how clever I was, about to tell the tale of another left-for-dead Penguins team that got hot late and surged into the Stanley Cup playoffs ... to be published the morning of their first playoff game, no less! 

Yeah, it was gonna line up so nicely. Ah well, the best laid plans and all that:
