Bill Guerin and the Minnesota Wild, after acquiring Vladimir Tarasenko and Nico Sturm over the past couple days, have made six minor additions on Wednesday to continue filling out their roster (and AHL depth) in free agency. Here's a look at the players they added.

C Tyler Pitlick

Pitlick is signing a two-way deal, which means he could spend time with Iowa in the AHL. A potential fourth-line option, the journeyman Pitlick has played in 420 regular season NHL games with eight teams over ten seasons. He has 109 points (53 goals, 56 assists) in his career. Pitlick, who turns 34 in November, is a Minneapolis native who was drafted by the Oilers in the second round in 2010. His cousin Rem Pitlick is a former Wild player, and his cousin Rhett used to play for the Gophers.

G Cal Petersen

With Marc-Andre Fleury retiring, the Wild needed a third goaltender to serve as depth behind starter Filip Gustavsson and young backup Jesper Wallstedt. In Petersen, they land a veteran with some NHL experience. He debuted with the Kings in the 2018-19 season and spent five seasons in Los Angeles. Petersen most recently appeared for the Flyers in the 2023-24 season. He's played in 106 NHL games and has a career 2.96 GAA and .903 save percentage. Petersen, who turns 31 in October, has spent much of the past three seasons in the AHL, and he could wind up in Iowa this year if everything goes to plan with the Wild's goalie situation.

RW Nicolas Aube-Kubel

Aube-Kubel, 29, is another journeyman NHL forward. Since his debut in 2018-19, he's played in 304 regular season games with seven teams, most notably the Flyers and Capitals. He's got 80 points (32 goals, 48 assists) and a career plus-10 rating to his name. The Alberta native won a Stanley Cup with the Avalanche in 2022, so he joins Tarasenko and Sturm as a former Cup winner to sign with the Wild this week.

D Matt Kiersted

Kiersted, a 27-year-old from Elk River, MN, has played in 39 games for the Panthers over the past five seasons, recording two goals and seven points. The former University of North Dakota standout also had 85 points in 233 AHL games over the last four years.

D Ben Gleason

Gleason is a 27-year-old AHL defenseman who played in four NHL games for the Stars in 2018-19. The 6'1" Michigan native has played close to 400 AHL games and has four seasons with at least 32 points at that level.

LW Bradley Marek

Marek, who turns 25 in November, is an AHL winger yet to make his NHL debut. He spent last season in Iowa, where he scored 13 points in 50 games. The previous year, he split time between the AHL and ECHL. Marek is a Michigan native and product of Ferris State University. He's unlikely to be in the NHL mix this year.
