Chicago Blackhawks owner Danny Wirtz's ranking in the Sports Illustrated Worst NHL franchise owners rating revealed

Sports Illustrated recently conducted a poll addressing the worst owners in the National Hockey League.

The Tampa Bay Lightning were named best ownership group, but who was the worst?

Ten years ago, Chicago Blackhawks owners were the city's favorites. Now, fans can't stand them and want them to sell the franchise.

The team turned around when Rocky Wirtz took over after his dad, Bill, died. Bill sadly let the Hawks fade away, but Rocky offered home games on TV, which won fans over.

Shortly afterward, Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Marian Hossa, Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook and Corey Crawford led the team to three Stanley Cups, and the rest is history.

Then it all crashed. Hossa and Seabrook had to retire due to health issues. Toews got long COVID, Crawford struggled too and Keith left for home. Kane stayed strong but didn't want to be part of a rebuild and got traded.

Rocky Wirtz than denied allegations he faced over the organization's problems. Danny Wirtz, Rocky's son, took over, and the franchise is at its current worst state.

Fans are mad, and he is now ranked third among the NHL's worst owners.
