The Chicago Blackhawks will play in four home openers, as disclosed on Wednesday. Now, we know the full extent of their schedule as the team released their 2026-27 schedule on Thursday.
Notably, this season will feature a 84-game schedule, and start a tad earlier than normal. Sept. 29 is the official start to the regular season, and the Blackhawks will take part in the opening triple header against the Vegas Golden Knights. In addition, there are some other notable matchups on the schedule.
Ultimately, there are some electric games, but there is a notable difference to this season’s schedule.
Unlike past years, almost all weekday home games will be played at 7 p.m. CT instead of 7:30 p.m. In addition, almost all weekend games are early, except for two 6 p.m. Sunday games and four 6 p.m. Saturday starts. The change in start times will surely get a reaction out of parts of the fanbase.
Regardless, plans can be made regarding the 2026-27 Blackhawks season. Now, the only portion of the schedule left to disclose is the broadcast schedule. That schedule is typically released in September.
