Connor Bedard continues to make history in his rookie season. Although there haven't been a ton of wins for the Chicago Blackhawks this season, Sunday's 7-4 win over the Arizona Coyotes was a splendid surprise. With two goals and one assist, Bedard tallied his third three-point game as an 18-year-old. With that final stat line, Bedard stamps himself in the Blackhawks' record books.
With his third three-point game, Bedard becomes the only player in Blackhawks history to have three such games as an 18-year-old. In franchise history, Patrick Kane is the only other player with more than one.
League-wide, Bedard is just one of four active players to record at least three games of three points at age 18. The others are Sidney Crosby, Patrick Laine, and Jeff Skinner, who had 11, 5, and 5 games of such production, respectively.

Bedard continues to be in elite company as an 18-year-old. Although the Blackhawks' season numbers aren't impressive, Bedard's 46 points in 51 games paces the team. In addition, he is largely without help, meaning he is generating a lot of offense on his own. As he improves and the talent around him does the same, his numbers will surely increase at a rapid pace.
Following the conclusion of his collegiate career, prospect Landon Slaggert signed with the Blackhawks on Sunday. Perhaps a fast start to his career could be a nice addition to Bedard's production. In fact, there is an outside chance both players will get to share the ice at the same time. This could also set Bedard up for another three-point game or two before the season ends.
Bedard is roughly on pace for about 61 points, assuming he plays all 17 remaining games. Even with missing time, Bedard is nearly a point-per-game player. The future is very bright in Chicago as Bedard continues to re-write the record books.
