Following the famous Four Nations Showdown, the usually very reserved Connor McDavid sent a great message to the Montreal Canadiens organization.

The best player in the world took the time to thank the organization, the entire Bell Centre team, and the fans for their extremely warm welcome over the past few days.

It's worth remembering that the Four Nations Showdown started in Montreal before concluding in Boston.

McDavid admitted to having experienced magical moments there, and once again, he was completely impressed by the immense passion of Montreal fans for hockey.

They are the real deal!

In addition to what he mentioned during the press conference about MTL fans and the warm reception, McDavid even made a rare social media post.

'Oh Canada! That was fun. Thank you Montreal and Boston!'

- Connor McDavid

It was a special week for Connor McDavid, who lifted the prestigious trophy against Team USA, thanks in part to his famous Golden Goal.

A moment to watch and rewatch endlessly:

What a moment!

It will be interesting to see, after all this, if McDavid will still be booed by the Bell Centre crowd when he visits with his Edmonton Oilers. He gets booed in Montreal like nowhere else, but it doesn't bother him.

I have a feeling this will change.

Connor McDavid, 28 years old, has accumulated 71 points in 50 games this season with the Oilers after recording 132 points and 153 points in the past two seasons.
