The Edmonton Oilers dropped a disappointing loss to the Buffalo Sabres today, and Connor McDavid was showing some clear frustration coming off the ice.

Just a few weeks ago, Leon Draisaitl was the one showing frustration coming off the ice after another disappointing loss, with fans speculating it was directed at Stuart Skinner.

Oilers captain Connor McDavid shows some frustration toward bench after loss to Buffalo Sabres

After the final buzzer, McDavid skated off the ice and raised his arms in frustration while saying something directed at the Oilers bench.

Fans are speculating that McDavid may have been speaking to Coach Knoblauch. McDavid played 26:01 of ice time in tonight's game, but the Oilers didn't call a timeout while pressing to tie the game.

Not only that, but there were some other very questionable decision from Coach Knoblauch in tonight's game, especially near the end.

The Oilers pulled the goalie with their 4th like veterans on the ice, and when Skinner was pulled, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was used as the extra attacker. Nuge is a staple of the team of course, but he's been a non-factor offensively for some time.

Connor McDavid may have been voicing some dissatisfaction with some of those questionable coaching decisions, or just in general showing some frustration for losing a game against the last place team in the East.

Not to mention, the Oilers captain himself has admitted he isn't playing his best hockey this year.

The Edmonton Oilers need to be better on all levels from tonight's performance, and will get their next test Thursday night in New Jersey.
