Max Domi hit Aleksander Barkov from behind in Game 4, and while many called for a suspension, two Sportsnet panelists didn't believe it warranted such action.

The Toronto Maple Leafs-Florida Panthers round two matchup has been full of action and intensity thus far, and all of that came to a head after Game 4 when Max Domi blasted Aleksander Barkov into the boards from behind late in the game.

That hit had Matthew Tkachuk threatening several Maple Leafs players after the game, and while many believed it could lead to a suspension for Domi, all it resulted in was a fine of $5,000 from the NHL's Department of Player Safety.

After the game, Sportsnet's Kevin Beiksa, a former NHLer that laid out and received his fair share of hits in the league addressed the situation, and unsurprisingly, he didn't defend the hit, but he didn't believe that Domi should apologize for it either.

"It's not a great hit, but honestly, it's also one that you don't apologize for. As long as he doesn't get a suspension, which I don't think there was enough there for, I'm okay with that. I'm of the school of: don't be an easy loser. Don't go down easy. Go down swinging.

Obviously not condoning hitting from behind, but I like the mentality of: let's go out there, let's scrum it up, and let's go down with the fight.'

Usually, Elliotte Friedman is one to disagree with some of these comments, but in this case, he agreed with Bieksa, and in the end both were right, as they handed down a fine and nothing more.

'I'm sure they will (DoPS will look into hit), but I'm with Kevin. That's not going anywhere.'

Ultimately, this is one that could have gone either way after making headlines in the NHL world, and now, the two teams meet again in what should be a thrilling and crucial Game 5 that could decide the outcome of this series.
