The Calgary Wranglers and Texas Stars have swapped defensemen in a one-for-one trade today. The Texas Stars are currently in fourth place in the Central Division with a 20-19-3-1 record for 44 points. The Calgary Wranglers are in ninth place in the Pacific Division with a 16-18-8-2 record for 42 points on the year. Jeremie Poirier will head to the Stars while Calgary gets Gavin White in return.

Poirier has played in 35 games this year for Calgary with one goal, five assists for six points and a minus-18 on the year. Poirier, a Left shot defensemen, has struggled this season after a 42-point 2024-2025 season with Calgary. He was selected 72nd overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft by the Calgary Flames.
Gavin White was selected with the 115th overall pick in the 2022 draft by the Dallas Stars. The 23-year-old is a right-handed shot. White has played in 23 games this season for the Texas Stars with three goals, two assists, and a minus-six rating. White has a plus-two rating to go with two goals and nine assists in 46 games last season with Texas.
