David Reinbacher is in Laval (and Pascal Vincent has a plan for him)

David Reinbacher is sidelined. He can’t play at the moment, having suffered a fractured metacarpal bone last week against the Toronto Leafs. What’s the plan going forward? Remember, he’s expected to miss four weeks of activity… but there’s a world out there in which he can miss more action too . What we do know, for now, is that Reinbacher is in Laval. The Rocket’s practice camp kicked off yesterday, and Reinbacher is in the team’s entourage. And we also know that Pascal Vincent has a physical and mental plan for the defenseman for the coming weeks. I imagine they’d like to keep him involved with the club… and that the organization would like to see him progress in his off-ice practices too.

What’s next looks… interesting. Reinbacher is likely to have a big role in his return to action and could also be the Rocket’s #1 defenseman. It would be a great opportunity for him to make his mark and show management that he can help the Canadiens in the long term on the ice. But… what’s worrying in a way is knowing that he’s still injured. He hasn’t been lucky in the last two years, and he hasn’t had the chance to showcase his talent the way he would have liked to, which is a shame for him. We know the potential is there, and we know he’s talented too. You only have to see him play games to understand it… but that hasn’t always been the case since the start of the 24-25 season. And if Pascal Vincent’s plan (I’d be curious to know what it is) can help him at certain levels, it’ll already be a good step forward.

’Overtime’

– Oh.

– Hello, boys!

– Nice contest.

– Good deal.

– It was a good game.
