The 2025-26 Calgary Flames regular season schedule was unveiled on Wednesday, as part of the league-wide schedule roll-out.
We’ve taken our time and dug into the nitty gritty of the upcoming 82 games for the red team. Let’s dive into a few key details of the schedule!
The season begins on Tues., Oct. 7 and concludes on Thu., Apr. 16. As with last season, the duration of the regular season will be 192 days.
Roster deadline will be Mon., Oct. 6. For cap calculation purposes, Oct. 6 is Day 0, and teams need to have a cap compliant roster of between 20 and 23 players by 3 p.m. MT.
Assuming he doesn’t miss any games in the interim, Nazem Kadri’s 1,000th NHL game, his 15th of the season, will be Nov. 5 at home against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
There are no games scheduled between Feb. 6-24 to facilitate the NHL’s participation in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, in lieu of the traditional All-Star break, but the Flames’ break between games is a couple days longer because that’s how the scheduling worked out.
Trade deadline is expected to be on Fri., Mar. 6, 42 days before the end of the season.
