Beckett Sennecke is one of the Ducks top prospects, but at development camp he showed visible frustration, being called out for his actions on the ice.
The Anaheim Ducks have some massive talent coming through the organization, and with Beckett Sennecke and Roger McQueen both drafted in the first round over the past 12 months, the future looks very bright.
However, things haven't been going as planned for Sennecke at Ducks Development Camp, as he was reportedly frustrated on Day Two, throwing his hands in the air several times in frustration.
According to reports, things then got out of hand, as he swung his stick in the direction of a coach before one of the coaches took to the ice to discipline him in front of everyone.
The account following the happenings at Development Camp was unable to get footage of the situation, but noted that it was very tense in the aftermath, getting photos of the whole scenario unfolding on the ice.
At 19-years of age, there's going to be growing pains on and off the ice at the NHL level, and that's likely just what happened here, a moment of frustration that simply got out of hand, but with Sennecke still well loved and respected in Anaheim, it's not likely to hurt his standing with the organization.
After tallying 36 goals and 86 points for the Oshawa Generals in 56 games this past season, the belief is that he can take the step up to the NHL level next season, and while that's still a long way off, incidents like this on the ice won't endear himself to teammates, so the hope is that he can learn from this and push for the roster when the 2025/26 regular season rolls around.
