According to an insider, it seems as though NHL veteran Milan Lucic will attempt to revive his career by signing a PTO with an Eastern Conference team.

It's been a rocky road as of late for Milan Lucic after facing charges that ultimately led to him never playing another game with the Boston Bruins after his arrest on Nov. 18. Many assumed that his NHL career was over, but that might not be the case after all.

According to an insider and radio colour commentator for the Edmonton Oilers, Lucic is going to be signing a professional tryout with the New Jersey Devils shortly in an attempt to revive his career.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when this is announced how he performs in camp with New Jersey. Either way, it appears he'll get another shot to prove that he can belong in the the league.

Before his legal troubles off the ice last season, Lucic skated in just four games with the Bruins collecting just two assists before an injury that kept him sidelined before his arrest.

We'll see what happens as camps begin to open, but look for the Devils to sign the 36-year-old to a tryout.

As of right now, Lucic is not eligible to return to the NHL.
