ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Transactions | 11/30/2025

The Adirondack Thunder and Utica Comets have swapped goaltenders as Jakub Malek heads back up to Utica and Tyler Brennan returns to the Thunder. Adirondack is also expected to have Brian Carrabes back in the lineup this afternoon.

Málek Headed Back To Utica, Brennan Back To Adirondack

Brennan, 22, has spent the last 10 days with the Utica Comets but hasn’t seen any action while rehabbing an injury. In six games this season with the Thunder, he is 2-3-1 with a 2.98 GAA and .895SV%. His last start came on November 15th when he gave up seven goals on 43 shots in a loss to the Reading Royals. That has been his only poor performance of the season, as he gave up three goals or less in his first five starts of the season. It’s unclear if Brennan is expected to start for the Thunder this afternoon.

Jakub Málek

Malek, 23, joined the Thunder earlier in the week and has started the last two games for Adirondack. In his two games with Adirondack, he went 1-1, stopping 53 of the 57 shots he faced while picking up his first win in North America. Prior to joining Adirondack, Malek went 0-4-1 with a 3.86 GAA and .861SV% in five games in Utica. His last start with the Comets came on November 8th, so he certainly needed some playing time, and that’s exactly what he got with the Thunder.

Brian Carrabes Back In the Lineup

Adirondack will get some much-needed help up front this afternoon as forward Brian Carrabes is expected to return to the Thunder lineup. Carrabes, 24, has been out with an injury for the last two weeks. In eight games this season, he has two goals and two assists for four points. The North Andover, Massachusetts native has a goal and three assists for four points in three games vs Worcester. With Carrabes coming back into the lineup, expect Mathieu Boislard or Conner Hutchison to come out.
