The Allen Americans acquired goaltender David Tendeck from the Florida Everblades in exchange for future considerations, finalizing the move ahead of their upcoming three-game series in Idaho. The roster addition gives Allen a timely boost in net as the team prepares for a demanding week.

Tendeck, 25, arrived in Allen with strong early-season numbers. Before the trade, he appeared in two games for Florida, posting a 1–1 record, a 1.02 goals-against average, and a .965 save percentage, including a shutout.

“We’re excited to add David to our group,” Americans Head Coach and GM Steve Martinson said in the release. “He’s a competitive goalie with experience in this league, and he’ll give us solid depth heading into this stretch.”

Pro Experience

Drafted in the sixth round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by the Arizona Coyotes, Tendeck joins the Americans with a diverse professional background across the AHL, ECHL, and EIHL. He has appeared in nine AHL games with the Tucson Roadrunners and has logged more than 90 ECHL games with Rapid City, Wheeling, Atlanta, Idaho, and Florida.

His ECHL record includes starter-level roles in Rapid City and Atlanta, as well as high-impact stretches in Idaho and Florida—highlighted by a 3–0 run with the Everblades in 2023–24 where he carried a remarkable 0.99 GAA and .972 save percentage.

In 2024–25, he spent part of the season with the Manchester Storm of the EIHL and delivered a strong .919 save percentage across 20 appearances. His professional career has consistently shown that he competes hard, adjusts quickly, and thrives when given responsibility.

Earlier in his development, Tendeck earned WHL (West) Second All-Star Team honors.

What This Move Means for Allen

For Allen, the trade brings both immediate depth and long-term potential. Tendeck’s athleticism, experience across multiple leagues, and ability to elevate his play make him a reliable and much needed addition to the Americans’ goaltending tandem. With Idaho on the schedule this week, he may see some in net action sooner than later.
