The Bloomington Bison have acquired center Brad Morrison from the Allen Americans in exchange for future considerations. Morrison, 29, has four goals and 10 assists for 14 points in 32 games with Allen.

The former fourth-round pick of the New York Rangers is eigth professional season, and seventh in the ECHL. Over the course of his seven years in the ECHL, Morrison has played with the Fort Wayne Komets, Indy Fuel, Reading Royals, Florida Everblades, Kalamazoo Wings, and Allen Americans. In 229 ECHL games, he’s put up 59 goals and 121 assists for 180 points. He had three goals and two assists for five points during the 2022 Kelly Cup Playoffs with Reading. He has also seen 57 games at the AHL level, where he’s put up 13 goals and 13 assists for 26 points. Morrison has a goal and an assist for two points in 12 games overseas with HC Pusteral (ICEHL) and HK Nitra (Slovakia). In 2023, he won a Continental Cup in Slovakia, where he played in three playoff games.

Prior to going pro, the Prince George, British Columbia native played six seasons in the WHL. In 334 WHL games with the Prince George Cougars, Vancouver Giants, and Lethbridge Hurricanes, Morrison put up 112 goals and 150 assists for 262 points in 334 games. He would add 19 goals and 29 assists for 48 points in 27 WHL Playoff games. In 2018, he led the WHL with 16 goals and 21 assists for 37 points in 16 playoff games.
