Trois-Rivières Lions forward Cedric Desruisseaux is heading back overseas to France to join Amiens (Ligue Magnus) after spending the 2025-26 season in the ECHL. In 66 games this season with the Lions, he put up 17 goals and 16 assists for 23 points. This was his second stint with the Lions after putting up eight goals and 15 assists for 23 points in 39 games during the 2021-22 season. Desruisseaux is the third member of the Lions to take the overseas route since their season ended, joining Nichoals Girouard and Charles Martin.
The Warwick, Quebec, native also played three seasons in the ECHL with the Wheeling Nailers. During his time with the Nailers, he had 43 goals and 59 assists for 102 points in 123 games. He had two assists in seven games during the 2022 Kelly Cup Playoffs. Desruisseaux has also played in five AHL games with the Laval Rocket and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, where he has two goals and one assist. At the end of the 2023-24 season, he played six games in Sweden, where he had one assist with Västerviks IK. He would add another goal in five games during Relegation play. The following season, he spent 25 games in Romania with CSM Corona Brasov, where he had 13 goals and 13 assists for 26 points. Desruisseaux also put up two goals and six assists for eight points in 14 games with Marseille (Ligue Magnus).
