The Trois-Rivières Lions have signed forward Cedric Desruisseaux for the 2025-26 season. Desruisseaux, 25, has spent the 2024-25 season playing in Romania and France. In 25 games with CSM Corna Brasov, he had 13 goals and 13 assists for 26 points in 25 games. He would add two goals and six assists for eight points in eight games with Mariseille in Ligue Magnus. Desruisseaux is the sixth signing for the Lions for the 2025-26 season, but the first player who didn’t spend last season with the team.

Cedric Desruisseaux began his pro career during the 2021-22 season with the Lions, putting up eight goals and 15 assists for 23 points in 39 games. The Warwick, Quebec native also appeared in three games with the Laval Rocket, where he recorded a goal and an assist for two points. Desruisseaux would be traded to the Wheeling Nailers during the 2022 Future Trade Consideration deadline. He would spend the two-plus seasons with the Nailers, putting up 43 goals and 59 assists for 102 points in 123 games. Desruisseaux also saw two games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins during the 2023-24 season, where he would find the back of the net. He concluded the 2023-24 season in Sweden, playing six games for Västerviks IK of HockeyAllsvenskan, where he recorded one assist.
