The Tahoe Knight Monsters have punched their ticket to the 2025 Kelly Cup Finals after the Kansas City Mavericks defeated the Idaho Steelheads on Wednesday Night. They become the second team in the Mountain Division to clinch a spot. They join the Kansas City Mavericks, who have already won the Division. Tahoe joins the Trois-Rivieres Lions as the second expansion team in recent history to make it to the Kelly Cup Playoffs in their inaugural season. This will be the second time Head Coach Alex Loh has led a team to the Kelly Cup Playoffs. He led the Adirondack Thunder to the 2019 Kelly Cup Playoffs, as they would lose to the Manchester Monarchs.

The Tahoe Knight Monsters are led by Sloan Stanick, the front-runner for Rookie of the Year, as he’s put up 28 goals and 49 assists for 76 points Stanick was named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team earlier today He leads all rookies in goals, assists, and points this season The Knight Monsters are second in goals per game this season, as Simon Pinard leads the team with 32 goals Goaltending has helped the Knight Monsters this season as Jesper Vikman is second in wins (24) and saves (1110) In 40 games this season, Vikman is 24-14-2 with a 3.15 GAA, .899 SV%, and one shutout Jordan Papirny has been a solid backup as he’s 16-7-3 with a 2.48 GAA, .922 SV%, and four shutouts His 2.48 GAA is 15th among goaltenders in the ECHL this season.
