The Trois-Rivières Lions have acquired the rights to forward Ben Hawerchuk from the South Carolina Stingrays. This completes the trade that sent Alexis Gravel to the Stingrays. Hawerchuk, 28, had six goals and 10 assists for 16 points along with 124 PIMS in 50 games last season with the Stingrays, while also playing in three Kelly Cup Playoff games. This is a solid piece for the Lions, who have lost a lot of key pieces to teams overseas already this offseason.
