ECHL Announces Fines and Suspensions | 02/18/2025

The ECHL Department of Player’s Safety has announced two suspensions stemming from Sunday’s games. Both players are repeat offenders. South Carolina Stingrays forward Ben Hawerchuk has been suspended two games and fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in Sunday’s game vs Jacksonville Icemen.

ECHL: Fines and Suspensions | 11/17/2024

The ECHL Department of Player Safety announced that both Jacob Hudson from Maine and Ben Hawerchuk from South Carolina have each received a five-game suspension and an undisclosed fine due to their involvement in the game between South Carolina and Maine on Saturday, November 16th.

Ben Hawerchuk has recently joined the South Carolina Stingrays. This acquisition finalized a trade on November 25, 2023, where the Stingrays traded defenseman Cole Fraser to Cincinnati in return for future considerations.
