The ECHL Department of Player Safety announced Thursday that multiple players have received supplemental discipline following incidents during games played on March 11. The rulings include suspensions for players from the Worcester Railers and Atlanta Gladiators, as well as a fine issued to a Kansas City Mavericks defenseman.

All discipline was issued under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Worcester’s Cole Donhauser Suspended Two Games

Worcester Railers forward Cole Donhauser has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount. This ruling is following an incident during the matchup between the Norfolk Admirals and Worcester Railers.

The incident occurred at 13:02 of the third period, when Donhauser was assessed a roughing minor and a game misconduct.

The game ended in a 5–2 victory for Norfolk at the DCU Center. The Admirals built a 4–0 lead through two periods before Worcester scored twice in the third.

Donhauser will miss Worcester’s road games against the Reading Royals on March 14 and March 15.

Atlanta’s Max Grondin Suspended One Game

Atlanta Gladiators forward Max Grondin has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount following an incident during the game between the Florida Everblades and Atlanta Gladiators.

The discipline stems from a kneeing infraction at 18:21 of the first period.

Atlanta went on to defeat Florida 4–1 at Gas South Arena.

Grondin will serve the suspension during Atlanta’s March 12 matchup against Florida.

Kansas City’s Wilson Fined Following Spearing Major

Kansas City Mavericks defenseman Hudson Wilson has been fined an undisclosed amount following an incident during the game between the Kansas City Mavericks and Tahoe Knight Monsters.

Wilson received a major penalty and game misconduct for spearing at 10:51 of the third period.

Tahoe defeated Kansas City 4–2 at the Tahoe Blue Event Center.

Player Hardship Fund

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA), all player fines collected by the league are directed to the ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund, which assists players across the league.
