The Edmonton Oilers have set a new NHL record for singleseason franchise revenue after last night’s Game two showdown against the Florida Panthers.
This new record surpasses the previous record set by the Oilers in last year’s playoffs. And, there are still at least one more game to be played at Rogers Place.
In speaking with sources, I can report the @EdmontonOilers have eclipsed last year’s @NHL single season franchise record revenue this season. #LetsGoOilers #HockeyX pic.twitter.com/ZLpG5aaPtU

When you consider that Edmonton is the fourth smallest market in the NHL yet the Oilers franchise is the sixth most valuable and has broken revenue records in back-to-back seasons, it really is a testament to how incredible the fan base is.
Hopefully the Oilers can continue to find success in the postseason, keep winning trophies, and keep contributing to the massive growth of the NHL.
