Evander Kane has been under fire for years, and after his recent pathetic act at the Stanley Cup Finals, he's lashed out on social media.
The past few days haven't been good for Evander Kane, as the veteran Oilers winger was given a game misconduct in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals, and was heavily scrutinized for not respecting his opponents and joining the handshake line after the series.
This is just one in a long line of many incidents that has surrounded Kane throughout his career, and without the production to back it up, that game may have been the final one in the Oilers career of the veteran forward.
That sentiment may be more true than ever now, as he went on a social media tirade on Friday after the hosts of the Jets @ Noon podcast were discussing some of his past indiscretions, with Kane firing back on social media in a very disrespectful way.
'My goodness talk about fabricatingHere are 5 facts.
1. Never played in Kootenay(cranbrook) as a 15 year old or 16 year old as a rookie like you claimed I did.
2. Played 1 single game in Kootenay and it was in my last year of Junior.
3. I Won a memorial cup when I was 15
4. Also, I never won a WHL championship.
5. Jim's a liar and a hater but lucky for him he's not alone.'
The post bashing Kane has since been deleted, and while there were some Oilers fans defending him on social media, but for the most part, fans have called out his actions both on and off the ice throughout his career.
Ultimately, Kane is never going to live down some of the things that have followed him throughout his career thus far, and while he may have been justified in calling out misinformation online, it's not a good look after his recent acts.
