Fans are turning what might be nothing into something on Monday, as Evander Kane has been clocked as having followed a homebuilder and renovations account on social media. What’s intriguing about this particular account is that the business he followed is located in Dallas, Texas. That just so happens to be one of the rumored landing spots that was reportedly interested in Kane via trade.
NHL insider Kevin Weekes reported just a few days ago that the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche are both interested in Kane, but nothing was necessarily imminent. Kane is the kind of player fans should follow on social media because he likes to drop news and sometimes beat the official reports about his career.
Kane’s own social media activity is often the newsbreaker, so if his following a homebuilder/reno business in Dallas is any indication of what’s coming next, he might be headed to the Stars. At the very least, he might have been informed that they are one of the teams he could go to.
According to an account that tracks NHLers and their Instagram follows, Kane has followed just one new Instagram account in the past week: a Dallas-based real estate company.

Kane’s season started slowly, but his play has picked up in recent weeks. More importantly for contenders, he brings a proven playoff track record, having led the Edmonton Oilers in postseason scoring in his first year with the team.
If healthy and available for a late-round pick, Kane could be a high-impact addition for a contender like Dallas or Colorado.
