Heading into the holiday break on the 23rd, the Vegas Golden Knights faced off against the Anaheim Ducks. The Golden Knights would end up defeating the Ducks 3-1, entering the holidays on a high note.
With this win, the Golden Knights improved to 23-8-3 on the season and currently hold the first place in the Pacific Division with a five-point lead on the Edmonton Oilers.
After picking up this win, former Bruins head coach, and fan favorite, Bruce Cassidy ended up making some history with the Golden Knights.
That win would be Cassidy's 119th win as head coach of the Vegas Golden Knights, and would make him the most winningest head coach in Vegas Golden Knights history.
The Boston Bruins ended up firing Bruce Cassidy after the 2021-22 season, and he would immediately take on the head coaching job in Vegas.
In his first year as head coach of the Golden Knights, the team went on to win the Stanley Cup. He has a 119-59-20 record since taking over the head-coaching job with the Golden Knights.
After the Bruins ended up firing Bruce Cassidy, the team went out and hired Jim Montgomery as head coach, but this year they decided to fire him as well after a horrible start to the year.
It's amazing to see Cassidy so successful during his time as head coach of the Vegas Golden Knights, and hopefully he can continue to be successful with the team.
