Jordan Kyrou has become an interesting trade candidate ahead of the 2024/25 trade deadline, and now there's at least five teams potentially interested.
The St. Louis Blues find themselves on the outside looking in at the Stanley Cup Playoffs this season, and with both the Canucks and Flames pushing ahead, there's a good chance this team falls short in 2024/25.
As a result, the team have surprisingly made a few players available, with centres Robert Thomas and Jordan Kyrou perhaps the biggest names of all, with both drawing significant interest on the trade market.
With the March 7th trade deadline right around the corner, Bleacher Report have now officially linked Kyrou to several intriguing teams, all of whom would be perfect fits for the 26-year old.
According to Bleacher Report, the Ducks, Hurricanes, Blackhawks, Devils and Sabres all have some level of interest in the Blues star, who is having another fantastic season with 24 goals and 47 points in 59 games thus far.
Beyond this season, Kyrou has another six years left on his deal with an $8.1 salary cap hit in each of those years, so while he'll no doubt be an expensive player to take on, he could be an upgrade down the middle for each of those teams.
It's unclear what it would take for the Blues to move Kyrou, who was once considered a key part of the Blues future, but with Doug Armstrong looking to reshape this team, it appears to be just a matter of time until he makes a massive move.
With the Stanley Cup Playoffs likely out of reach in 2024/25 for the Blues, it makes sense for them to sell, and while Kyrou may not get moved until the summer, if they get an intriguing offer over the next week, don't be surprised to see them sell on him now.
