Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports

A handful of Calgary Flames prospects didn’t play this past week.

This is the Oct. 14-19 edition of the Flames prospect round-up, where we look at how Flames prospects have done every week. Specifically, we’ll look at players playing overseas, in junior hockey, or at the college level, as the American Hockey League prospects will have an article of their own in the Wranglers recaps.

Let’s take a look at the week that was!

Cole Reschny

Cole Reschny and Cade Littler played in two games for the University of North Dakota this past week, splitting their two games against Minnesota. In a 5-2 victory, Reschny picked up an assist, while he was held pointless in their 5-1 loss.

Through three games this season, the Flames’ 18th overall pick in the 2025 draft has a goal and three points. He’ll have a chance to increase his point total this coming week, as the Fighting Hawks head to Clarkson on Friday and Saturday.

Cullen Potter

The Arizona State Sun Devils and Cullen Potter played two games against Augustana this past week, falling 4-2 in the first game and 5-2 in the second game. It was in the second game where Potter picked up his lone point for the week, an assist.

Through six games with the Sun Devils, Potter has three assists. The Sun Devils don’t play this week, but will return to action the following week against Miami (Ohio).

Theo Stöckselius

Theo Stöckselius didn’t play this week, but Djurgårdens IF U20 played twice, a 4-1 win over Luleå HF U20 and a 4-3 loss to Skellefteå AIK U20. That means that the Flames’ second-round pick in the 2025 draft still has a goal and nine points in seven games this season.

Up next for Djurgårdens IF U20 is two home games, one against Mora IK U20 on Saturday and Leksands IF U20 on Sunday.

Mace’o Phillips

Mace’o Phillips and the Green Bay Gamblers played three games this week. They defeated the US National Development Team 6-2, fell 4-2 to the Youngstown Phantoms, and defeated the Phantoms 5-1 to end their week.

Phillips picked up one point in United States Hockey League action this past week, a lone assist in their 6-2 victory. This season, the left-shot defenceman has a goal and three points in eight games, along with 41 penalty minutes.

Next up for the Gamblers is a home-and-home against the Chicago Steel on Friday and Saturday.

Ethan Wyttenbach

This week, Ethan Wyttenbach and Quinnipiac University played two games, defeating Maine 5-4 in a shootout before shutting them out 4-0 in the second game. The Flames’ fifth-round pick in the 2025 draft scored a goal in each game, giving him four goals and six points in five games this season.

It’s a busy coming week for the Bobcats, as they have a three-game road trip. They’ll play Holy Cross on Tuesday, Merrimack on Friday, and New Hampshire on Saturday.

Jakob Leander

Jakob Leander and HV71 U20 played two games this past week, falling 2-0 to Södertälje SK U20 and 4-2 to Västerås IK U20. The good news is that Leander scored his first goal of the season, giving him a goal and three points in 11 games this season, with 37 penalty minutes.

It was a busy week for Jacob Battaglia and the Kingston Frontenacs. They were blanked by a score of 3-0 on Friday against the Ottawa 67’s, but followed that up with a 7-1 victory over the Oshawa Generals. They got their revenge on the 67’s on Sunday, defeating them 4-2.

Battaglia picked up an assist in the 7-1 win and scored a goal in their 4-2 win. He was a -2 in their 3-0 loss. This season, he has six goals and 10 points in nine games.
