The new contract will keep Wolf with the Flames through the 2032-33 season.
In 2024-25, Wolf’s first full NHL campaign, he recorded a 29-16-8 record with a .910 save percentage (SV%), a 2.64 goals against average (GAA) and three shutouts, appearing in 53 regular-season games. The Gilroy, Calif., native finished second in Calder Trophy voting, eighth in Vezina Trophy voting and earned a spot on the NHL’s All-Rookie Team.
Across three seasons, Wolf has played in 71 NHL regular-season games, posting a 37-23-9 record with a .906 SV% and 2.73 GAA and three shutouts.
Before turning into a full-time NHL goaltender, Wolf spent parts of four seasons in the AHL with the Stockton Heat and the Calgary Wranglers. Through 141 regular-season games, he went 97-32-10 with a .926 SV% and 2.29 GAA.
Wolf dominated the league with the Heat in 2021-22, posting a 33-9-4 record with a .924 SV% and 2.35 GAA, winning the Aldege “Baz” Bastien Memorial Award for AHL Goalie of the Year. He followed that with an even better 2022-23 campaign for the Wranglers, going 42-10-2 with a .932 SV% and 2.09 GAA, again being voted the AHL’s top netminder.
Taken by the Flames in the seventh round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, Wolf spent four seasons in the Western Hockey League playing for the Everett Silvertips, going 106-34-6 with a .935 SV% and 1.84 GAA in 149 career regular-season games.
After dominate performances in both the 2019-20 and 2020-21 COVID-19 shortened seasons, Wolf was awarded the Del Wilson Trophy for WHL Goaltender of the Year twice, as well as named the CHL Goaltender of the Year for 2019-20.
Internationally, Wolf represented the U.S. twice at the World Junior Championships in 2020 and 2021, helping them earn gold in 2021.
