Flyers re-sign Nikita Grebenkin to two-year contract

Grebenkin was a restricted free agent this summer after his three-year, entry-level contract expired.

In his first full NHL season, the 23-year-old had four goals and 10 assists for 14 points and 46 penalty minutes in 55 regular-season games.

He made his NHL debut in 2024-25 with the Toronto Maple Leafs, who selected him in the fifth round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by the Flyers, along with a conditional 2027 first-round pick, in exchange for Scott Laughton.

In 50 career AHL regular-season games with the Toronto Marlies and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, Grebenkin has 12 goals and 16 assists for 28 points and 43 points. He also has a goal and three assists for four points in seven Calder Cup Playoff games.

Before moving to North America, the Serov, Russia native played 120 KHL games across three seasons between 2021-22 and 2023-24, where he scored 28 goals and added 39 assists for 67 points. He secured a spot in the 2024 KHL All-Star Game and helped Magnitogorsk Metallurg win the Gagarin Cup.

The Flyers went 43-27-12 with 98 points in 2025-26, third in the Metropolitan Division, earning a berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time in six seasons. They eliminated the Pittsburgh Penguins in six games but were swept by the Carolina Hurricanes in the second round.

Travis Konecny led the team in points with 68 (27 goals and 41 assists), while Trevor Zegas had 67 points (26 goals and 41 assists). Owen Tippett led the way in goals with 28.
