Bo Horvat, former captain of the Vancouver Canucks, gave his thoughts on the J.T. Miller trade, sharing his perspective on the locker room drama.

It would appear as though the locker room drama surrounding the Vancouver Canucks has finally reached an end.

Yesterday, the Canucks finally traded J.T. Miller to the New York Rangers, ending the months-long rumors that enveloped everything the team did this season.

It was a blockbuster move with key pieces coming back to the Canucks, but hopefully, some ease of mind for the rest of the players will really benefit the team.

Now the rest of the hockey world has had time to reflect on the deal and share their thoughts.

In wake of the move, New York Islanders forward and former Canucks captain Bo Horvat shared his thoughts on the deal, revealing that he was shocked the team actually felt the need to trade Miller.

"I was honestly shocked. I can't believe it had to come to that, to be honest with you. It's unfortunate. They had such a great year last year, making it to the second round after being first in the Pacific. It's unfortunate that they had to get broken up like that.

"It sucks that Miller is coming to the Metro. He's a heck of a player. But, obviously, something had to be done, and they made it happen."

Canucks captain Quinn Hughes also has addressed the trade, speaking to reporters about it rather diplomatically.

He noted that he enjoyed playing with Miller and called him a "heck of a hockey player."

"Yeah, I mean, obviously a lot of noise last couple of weeks and months. But, you know, see him go, he's a heck of a hockey player, and enjoyed playing them for the six years that I had."

Now that this drama is finally behind us, it will be interesting to see how the Canucks perform down the stretch.

Currently, the team is in fifth place in the Pacific Division, one point behind the Flames for the second wild-card spot in the West.

Will they be able to make the playoffs after this major move?
