Get This Guy in Check': Brad Marchand Fires Back at Lane Hutson's Father Over Olympic Snub Comments

Lane Hutson's father recently called out Team USA for snubbing Lane, and after suggesting he could join Team Canada, he was called out by Brad Marchand.

While rosters for Team Canada and the USA have not been revealed for the 2026 Olympic Games as of yet, both teams recently held camps for extended rosters, and unsurprisingly, there were snubs on both sides.

One of the biggest snubs for Team USA was reigning Calder Trophy winner Lane Hutson, who many believe could be the future of the United States blue line after posting 66 points in his rookie campaign.

The 21-year old's father seems to think so as well, as he recently weighed in on the snub, suggesting that his son could one day represent Canada instead of the United States as a result.

'You never know what happens in the future. My boys are also Canadian.'

Brad Marchand Weighs In, Tells Hutson to 'Get This Guy in Check'

Those comments did not go down well with Brad Marchand, who weighed in on social media, replying to a post about the situation in typical Marchand fashion, calling for Lane to get his father in check.

Lane Huston, get this guy in check.

Knowing Brad Marchand, this comment was made all in good fun, but with Hutson's father seemingly suggesting he would just walk right onto Canada's roster after the USA snub, he may have been slightly offended by the comments.

Only time will tell whether or not Hutson will look to get a big international break for Canada or the USA, but one thing is for sure, and that is that his father may not want to be publicly addressing the situation again anytime soon.
