Connor McDavid got injured the other night in a game between the Edmonton Oilers and the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Since that time, McDavid has gone back to Edmonton where he is currently looking to get some tests done. Overall, it is not looking too good as the Oilers have a game in Nashville on Thursday night. McDavid will not be playing in that tilt, and some are fearing the worst about his injury.

Having said that, Frank Seravalli of the Daily Faceoff seems to have the inside scoop on when McDavid will be able to return. Essentially, he compared what McDavid is going through to Aleksander Barkov.

'Frank Seravalli on DFO live says it looks like the best case scenario for Connor McDavid's injury is similar to Alex Barkov's high ankle sprain. Barkov missed 8 games.'

Ultimately, this is still bad regardless of how you swing it. The Oilers are a team that has started off the year pretty poorly. There have been very few redeeming qualities for this team. and fans are starting to get a bit fed up. Goaltending has been the worst part of the team this year, as Stuart Skinner has put in bad game after bad game.

Only time will tell what the true nature of McDavid's injury is. We will likely be getting word on that either today or tomorrow.
